Testing the hardware

Before you can start designing your program. You need to test the hardware connections to the PLC. Programmers use test plans to check the software and hardware. Use the Hardware Test Plan to check the hardware. You will start checking barrier 1.

Create the following program to test the connections:

Test the hardware by making the following code and transferring to the PLC.

Connect hall sensors (I.1), (I.2) and (I.3) to internal lamps.

Connect light sensors (I.B) Barrier 1 is up and (I.C) Barrier 1 is down to internal lamps.

Connect the outputs (Q.1) Green Traffic light, (Q.B) Entry 1 Up and (Q.C) Entry 1 Down to the PLC buttons.

Test the connections:

Select the Car Park scenario on the PLCtrainingKIT.

Load your program with the Run and Monitor options.

Test if all the inputs and outputs work with the test plan.
