Lesson 1 - Introduction PLCtrainingKIT hardware

Before we start the Train Crossing scenario we would like to give you an short introduction in to the hardware and website. In the next lessons we will provide a step by step guide to install the PLC software and communicate with the PLC.  Further you will find an introduction in to simulation and how to monitor the inputs (switches, light sensors and magnetic sensors). Finally you will lean to control the outputs (leds and motors). We will start with the hardware and show you to find your way around the website.

Lesson 2 - Getting your laptop ready

Download and install the software and drivers for the PLCtrainingKIT

(15 min)

Lesson 3 - Setup your first PLC program & How to download software into PLC

Setup and test your PLC software by making your first program. Download your software into the PLC.

Lesson 4 - How the use the simulation software

On an real Train Crossing you don't load your software until your sure its going to work. You can check your logic by testing it in hand in the simulation of zeliosoft2

Lesson 5 - How buttons control the barrier to go up and down

Before programming the logic for the barrier with the sensors. You would like to know if you can control the barriers and see if the outputs do what you expect. Program barrier 2 to go up and down.

Lesson 6 - Control the barrier to go up and down with light sensors and one button

For this program is best to use Sequential Function Chart (SFC). It looks almost like an flow chart. Its a graphical programming language what lets you see which state the program is in.
